Aintree 65th Anniversary Dinner - Tuesday 1st Oct - SOLD OUT

Hi All,

We have our 65th Anniversary Dinner at The Mercure Atlantic Tower Hotel 1st October.

We held our 25th at the same venue in 1979 in The Stateroom Restaurant.

Special Guest is David Richards, Chairman of Prodrive and Motorsport UK.     M.C. is broadcaster Steve Berry.

We are now completely SOLD OUT. The Hotel have given us exclusive use of The Vista Restaurant, which overlooks the Royal Liver Building and The Pier Head, which released space for another two tables, which have also been snapped up!

We shall have no less than 4 Formula 1 drivers with us as well as two current BTCC drivers with the Cataclean BTCC Racing Team , who have a table.

BTCC ITV 4 Commentator David Addison along with Veteran Silverstone, Monaco and Le Mans Commentator Ian Titchmarsh will be saying a few words.

Other Guests include Doug Niven, Cousin of Jim Clark, Trustee of The Jim Clark Trust and Saloon Lap record Holder at Aintree in the VW-Chevy Beetle Super Saloon and Historic F1 winner Andy Middlehurst will be attending with his Dad Phil, who was one of the top Mini racers in the 1960’s.

Historic race preparation experts include Rick Hall (BRM , Vanwall and most of the Donington Collection) and Kelvin Jones (Moores Collection, Chevrons and probably the leading Lotus 23 race preparation and rebuild expert in the world) along with son Declan, now one of the leading Drivers in British GT.

Finally, we will be graced with the presence of Deputy Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Councillor Gary Millar, who , along with Steve Macfarlane, provided the Commercial support for the Aintree Festival of Motorsport, which marked the 50th Anniversary of the circuit, in 2004.
